Guided Wine Tasting
Whether you are a seasoned enthusiast or a new explorer of wine this experience is the best way to become familiar with Minnesota viticulture and the fine wines produced at Sovereign Estate. You will be served a selection of our Signature, Estate and Reserved wines and taken on a behind the scene tour of the barrel room and production area. Reservations are strongly recommended. Available on specific dates. Walk-in’s accepted if space is available.

Barrel Tasting
Explore the best of Sovereign Estate wine before they’re bottled! Our head winemaker, Ben Banks, will guide you through a unique tasting experience by sampling a variety of wine directly from the barrel. Sip on wine straight from the cask, while touring our winery and learning more about the winemaking process. Reservations are required. Available on specific dates.
Wine Club and Barrel members receive a discount.
Library Tasting
For the first time ever, take a step back in time to experience the best of Sovereign Estate Wines! Taste through a selection of impeccable library wines aged to peak drinkability and just pulled out of our very own private library cellar to share with you. Led by Ben Banks and Isaac Savaryn, explore the evolution of each wine from when they were first bottled. Reservations are required. Available on specific dates.

Featured Walk-in Wine Tasting
Walk-in customers can experience 5 pre-selected featured wines of the week for $15 at the tasting room bar or patio bar. A tasting sheet with notes will be provided and marked off after each 1 oz. pour (No double pours, one of each wine must be taken). No reservations needed. Offered Wednesday-Sunday.
Not available during Wine Festivals, Concerts or for groups of 7 or more. For larger groups, please reserve a Guided Wine Tasting or visit our Group Visits Page.
Wine Flight Tasting
Wine Flights are a great way to experience a self-guided tasting at Sovereign Estate. Choose between our Featured Wine Flight of five 2 oz. pre-selected wines for $25 or our Customized Wine Flight of five 2.oz. wines of your choice from our full wine list, including our Reserve wines for $35.
Offered Wednesday-Sunday. Not offered during Wine Festivals or concerts.

Something exciting is always happening at Sovereign Estate. Live Music, Wine Festivals and plenty of Food & Wine events help to make your visit to the Winery extra memorable. Please note that many of our events require special admission pricing, so be sure to make your reservations in advance!
